My Heart aches for the passion of the heart to manifest across the world. How can we just look and not do? How can we see a suffering child, a person with no legs getting no help, an animal abandoned and hurt, a special needs person getting no special help? My God! Where has the spirit of the heart gone? Can we ever recover our destiny and fulfill its purpose? I can’t believe God is pleased as He watches us look away. There are billions of people in the world- millions of them “posing” on Face-Book, as they live a lie and do nothing; unless it serves them personally. If we do not recover our hearts, we will be so far gone we stand the chance of never recovering. But where do we start-HOW do we start?! Well, to me this is an easy question; by giving!
But how do we give-where do we give-and to whom? Most people are so focused on being ripped off they have lost all feeling in their heart. We in America have gotten “used” to being lied to, dis-respected and beaten into submission. If we are not wealthy and do not fit into the parameters set by an illusion of stability, we are outcasts. We are found floating in a sea of indecisiveness as we watch people suffering in silence. How does a person’s legitimate need receive proper help to help regenerate their lives? Welfare is not the answer: $600.00 a month is not the answer to feed a family of four! State or federal Aid was not intended to be a lifestyle; it was intended to be a transitory bridge to help a family get to the other side of their challenges. So, what IS the answer? Do you really believe one person in government can change 200 years of American dysfunction? I don’t think so: If you want to see America great again, YOU have to step up!! “STEP UP, STEP IN, OR STEP OUT” is my motto! Please people…please in God’s Name, do something now!! Reach out and help your fellow man: Help me put “human” back into humanity. Love is the only answer there is. War just creates more and more dissension: It kills, maims and destroys the spirit of mankind. If you think about it, war is generally about religion, money, narcissism or greed. It is rarely about righteousness or to help humanity. A perfect example of this is how close Hitler actually got to winning World war 11! Have you ever wondered how he captivated millions of people-how he taught people to hate and to kill as a way of life? HOW could human beings be so stupid, insensitive, impressionable or so corruptible? Well, I think the answer is still alive and controlling the world today: Man’s personal and desperate greed to be number one, the most powerful, the most rich, the most omnipotent. Please tell me one thing: Where is the “heart” in that philosophy? The heart is the key to all riches and power-but it comes with a price: self-lessness.
When have you stepped up to help your fellow man? If you donate to the giant non-profits, then you have to understand they have giant admin fees. So, ask yourself how much of your donations go to the “cause?” Personally, if I was going to donate to Cancer research , I would find a brilliant scientist that was really close to the cure and donate directly into him/her personally. I would not be donating to someone eating filet mignon and drinking Dom Perignon at some gala event to raise money for the homeless! Hey! Here’s a novel idea! Why not just GIVE the money to the homeless! Now, don’t get me wrong, there are many non-profits that do a lot of good for a lot of people. I am just talking about people personally being accountable and responsible, without expecting anything in return. But what does personal accountability truly mean: Do we even know the meaning of that word anymore? My perception is simple in nature; accountability means you are willing to stand in the gap for a person -to love without conditions- to give without limits- to be the difference in a person’s life. If you assess your own life in reference to these guidelines, you will probably find the evidence of emptiness and need. As we grow older and experience a myriad of true life experiences, we amass a lot of baggage, sadness and disappointments. Maybe those experiences become silent and un-seen reasons to NOT give. Maybe subconsciously, we convince ourselves not to step out in a generous spirit: Hey! No risk -no hurt! I don’t know about you, but I would rather fall on my face, bleeding in the street as I pick up the pieces of my broken heart and start again: Without risk, failure is certain.
So, what are these words truly about? Are they written to challenge, encourage and inspire you, or do they make you mad as they irritate and haunt your conscience? Well, maybe their purpose is simply none of these: Maybe these words were written as a portal to the truth of the heart. Maybe they can build a platform for a memory to be re-born as it rises to the surface- breaking through the layers of broken dreams and shattered obscurity. In the end, or the beginning, all we have is each other….reaching out…trying to connect the hearts and souls of humanity. Please dear God, enable our spirits to be strong again- to stand again- to love and heal again. We need each other-we always will. Please God, bring back love and ignite our hearts to stamp out obscurity and insecurity. Teach us to be strong. Help us to hear the song of your heart. Lead us to truth and strength….please God: Teach us to love again!
