As I prepare to launch TTW Magazine’s Premier International Issue, I come to you with a heavy heart. I find myself wondering where our hearts are hidden and if true humanity exists anymore. Is God really in control or have we become self-will run riot? In this journey we call life there are many roads we can choose to travel. But, in the end, there is only one destination: love, kindness and helping our fellow man.
I live in the beautiful city of San Antonio, Texas but am reaching out to the world. In the first foreign exchange writing program ever published in a magazine, I am taking TTW Magazine past the gates of The River-Walk and into the International arena of cultural diversity, hope and understanding. We are all just people, sharing the same challenges, hopes, dreams and consideration of what we have-or don’t have.
Consider this: There is an astounding 6 billion, 840 million, 507 thousand, 300 hundred people living in the world today. If only 10% of those people stood up and said a resounding “No!” the world would begin to change right in front of our eyes. War would begin to cease, hate would begin to look ignorant and love would draw the 10% together to unify with a special purpose: Let’s put “human” back into humanity! We need a revolution in this country. We need to bring back dignity and honor: We need to stand for one another and bring back common sense. We need to make a difference by BEING the difference. Am I an activist or renegade? No-I am speaking common sense. I do not believe politics and government should be in our personal decisions, nor should our right to make a decision be taken away. I am proposing we become accountable, grow up and do it quickly! This is America people! As you read the amazing articles from the ttw foreign countries, you might just realize what you have in America and how grateful we should be. Think of words like scissors in your hands! Words can either kill or heal-use them wisely. If you look at your reflection in the mirror and it cracks- get some Super-Glue and fix it! If you want to glamorize me, go somewhere else: I am simply on a mission to effect positive change in the hearts and souls of the innocent by giving a voice to those who suffer in silence.
I am proud to present talent, creativity and communication as an opportunity to grow in diversity and substance. Look at the brilliant talents of “The Designers.” These creators are the best of the best and they are in San Antonio! Let Dr. Angela Goodman tell you how she dealt with always knowing she was different but how she made the decision to always love and never be bitter. Welcome to the International premier of transforming today’s world. There is not much we haven’t covered in this issue, so hold onto your hats as you take the ride of your lives! I have dedicated this magazine to the better good of all and hope you will join us as we embark on this fascinating journey we call…life!
