We all are completely unique beings. Each person, man or woman, has been defined by God Himself and has been assigned a fantastically designed brilliance to manifest in the world. The Freya Posse’ was created to create a venue for people to shine like diamonds. There is great power in unity and friendship. But sometimes we need special people in our lives to bring out the true essence of who we really are. This trend of “posse’s” began back in the Andy Warhol days of Studio 54 in NYC. Mick Jagger, Liza Minnelli, Peter Allen, Blondie and many more, showed up to the club and formed a look, struck a pose, and made a statement to society that they were uniquely their own personas. They were there to leave their mark on the world and by doing so, profoundly changed Pop Culture as we knew it. Instead of the public visiting The Metropolitan Museum of Art to experience art work, THEY became the paintings and people gazed at their images and absorbed the essence of “living paintings.” Each Andy Warhol Posse’ member left their mark on the world and their talent and personality was now associated with a “look.”
I believe that is when true Paparazzi began, and I also believe that when that era was over; society in general LOST their uniqueness. We subtlety began to emulate and copy movie stars, singers and performers. We stopped interpreting ourselves and began to copy others. A certain magic died and The Freya Posse’ has been created to bring that unique magic back. By creating your own individual look and coupling it with like-minded people, YOU can create your own posse’ and begin to have some REAL fun! Hey! Here’s an idea: Get a few of your closest friends and dress up: Go to a club with some photographers, make an entrance, have a few drinks, and POSE! Then, after an hour, dramatically get up as a group, and leave with flash bulbs flashing into the night! What fun- what a statement- and how utterly outrageous! Kick it UP a notch people! Go out into the world and define who you are! Make your own posse’ and bring back some excitement and living art! All of us have a wealth of dramatic potential deep inside of us.
